1. MATERIAL PREPARATION
The first step in making MDF doors is
to prepare the raw materials, including
medium-density fiberboard (MDF),
glue, veneer or laminate, and any
additional decorative elements
2. CUTTING
The MDF sheets are cut to the desired
size using a computer numerical control
(CNC) router or a saw. The doors are
cut according to precise specifications
and sizes, ensuring accuracy and
consistency.
3. DRILLING
The MDF doors are then drilled for the
handle and lock holes, using a drilling
machine or CNC router. This ensures
that the doors are functional and ready.
4. SANDING
The doors are then sanded to remove
any rough edges or imperfections,
ensuring a smooth and even surface.
This is a critical step in achieving a
high-quality finished product.
5. VENEERING OR LAMINATING
If the doors are to be veneered or
laminated, this step comes next. The
veneer or laminate is applied to the
MDF using adhesive, and then pressed
together under high pressure and
temperature.
6. EDGE BANDING
The edges of the doors are then
finished with edge banding, which is a
strip of material applied to the edges
to cover the exposed MDF. This gives
the doors a finished look and provides
additional protection against moisture
and wear.
7. PAINTING OR COATING
If the doors are to be painted or coated,
this step comes next. The doors are
prepared for painting or coating by
applying a primer or sealer, and then
painted or coated according to the
desired finish.
8. QUALITY CONTROL
Throughout the production process,
quality control checks are performed to
ensure that the doors meet the desired
specifications and quality standards.
9. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING
Once the doors have passed the quality
control checks, they are packaged and
shipped to the customers. Care is taken
to ensure that the doors are protected
during transportation to prevent any
damage or defects.
